James Naisith was born on 1861 near Almonte, Ontario, Canada. James thought of the game when he was an instructor at Young Men's Christian Association Training School. He designed the game by combining american football, soccer, and hockey, and the first ball used was a soccer ball. The game was originally played with peach baskets on either side of the "court". |
