Rock music is a genre of music started in the 1960s in the UK and America. Its roots are from rock and roll. Rock and roll was influenced by rythem and blues and country music. Rock music was also influenced by jazz, classical, and other genres of music.
Elvis Presley
 Elvis Aaron Presley, otherwise known as "The King", created the genre rock and roll, which is the roots of rock music today. Rock and roll is an uptempo style of music that is a fusion of country and rythem and blues.
