As you can tell the men to the left are ninjas. What is a ninja? Well by definition a ninja is a warrior trained in the art of unorthodox war. They used a variety of tactics, such as, stealth, camouflage, and guerilla warfare.

A ninja is trained in the art of ninjutsu. Ninjutsu is a form of martial art.

In modern times culture has created the stereotypical ideal of a ninja, like the ones to the left. Traditional ninjas did not always wear black, they were actually farmers that were oppressed by samurais.

Ninjas used a variety of weapons, such as their star, called a shuriken and their sword, called a ninjato.
