Looney Tunes were originally created from Merrie Melodies, a series of cartoons from the production of the Warner Brothers. Looney Tunes is were a lot of known characters today like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety, Marvin the Martian, Taz, Will E. Coyote, Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Pepe Le Pew, and Speedy Gonzales. Although they originally started with Bosko and Buddy. Looney tunes was the most outstanding, popular series on television in the 1940's to 1960's. Like most television at the time it started off in black and white with the theme song "The-Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" by Cliff Friend. The Looney Tunes was a world wide hit it received many awards like National Film Registry, Best Short Subject, and more Academy Awards. It filmed in many places also including Denmark, Republic of Ireland, Israel, U.S.A., U. K, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Japan. Many younger people may not know a lot about the original set of Looney Tunes but they might know more about a spinoff called Baby Looney Tunes, either way the legacy will always be remembered.
